Kimberly Kenyon

Kimberly has nearly 20 years of experience with both terrestrial and submerged finds from excavations in North Carolina, Texas, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and Turkey. She previously served as the Head Conservator for the Institute of Nautical Archaeology in Bodrum, Turkey. She also teaches a graduate level course in archaeological conservation at East Carolina University and serves on the NC Preservation Consortium board of directors.
Kimberly Kenyon is the Head Conservator for the North Carolina Office of State Archaeology, overseeing the conservation of state-owned and -managed archaeological collections in need of specialized care. Her primary responsibilities and work include the conservation of the La Concorde/Queen Anne’s Revenge shipwreck assemblage.
